Lingzhi Township
Lingzhi Township, belonging to Jingning County, Pingliang City, Gansu Province, is located in the northern mountainous area of Jingning County, bordering Gongyi Town, Xiji County, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in the East, Bali Town in the south, Gaojie town in the West and Yuanan Township in the north. It covers an area of 94 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, 14355 people registered residence in Ganoderma lucidum.
After 1912, Jingpo belonged to Jingning and Longde counties. In August 1949, it belonged to the fourth district (Gaojie) of Jingning County. In March 1958, lingzhi township was established; in September of the same year, Saxiang established Lingzhi commune. In 1983, it was changed to Lingzhi township. As of June 2020, lingzhi township has jurisdiction over 11 administrative villages, and the Township People's government is stationed in Yincha village.
In 2018, lingzhi township has 5 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
Historical evolution
After 1912, Jingpo belonged to Jingning and Longde counties.
In August 1949, it belonged to the fourth district (Gaojie) of Jingning County.
In February 1956, it was assigned to Cheli district.
In March 1958, lingzhi township was established; in September of the same year, Saxiang established Lingzhi commune.
In 1983, it was changed to Lingzhi township.
