ShaoZhai town is subordinate to Lingtai County, Pingliang City, Gansu Province. It is said that Chonghou tiger, the northern Marquis, was stationed here during the Shang Zhou period, and King Wu of Zhou abolished Chongfeng and granted Shaogong the post of guard when he conquered Zhou, so it is called ShaoZhai. ShaoZhai town is located in the southeast corner of Lingtai County, bordering Binxian County of Shaanxi Province in the East, Linyou County of Shaanxi Province in the south, Zhongtai town and Dudian town of Lingtai County in the west, and Changwu County of Shaanxi Province in the north. The administrative area of ShaoZhai town is 119.27 square kilometers.

ShaoZhai town is located in the gully area of the Loess Plateau, high in the South and low in the north. ShaoZhai town belongs to Daxi river system of Lingtai county. Daxi River crosses the whole village of Leijiahe, flows from Zhongtai town to ShaoZhai Town, with a total length of 3.7 km.

The most serious heavy rainfall was on July 23, 2010, which led to the collapse of some farmers' houses and courtyard walls, the collapse of crops, the damage of power supply and communication equipment, and the damage of most people's houses in Leijiahe village.
