Dangzhai Town, belonging to Ganzhou District, Zhangye City, Gansu Province, is located in the south of Ganzhou District, adjacent to Shangqin town in the East, shigangduntan in the south, Xiaoman town in the West and Liangjiadun town in the north. It covers an area of 117.87 square kilometers. In 2018, the registered residence of the party was 32181.

In 1961, Dangzhai commune was established. In 1966, it was renamed spark commune. In 1983, it was changed into Dangzhai township. In 2003, the township was removed and the town was built. In 2004, nianlibao Township joined Dangzhai town.
