Dahonggou town
Dahonggou Town, belonging to Tianzhu Tibetan Autonomous County, Wuwei City, Gansu Province, is located in the northwest of Tianzhu Tibetan Autonomous County, at the east foot of Mohong mountain, adjacent to Zhangyi town of Liangzhou District in the East, Haxi town in the South and maozang Township in the West. The administrative area is 29.8 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in the town was 8726.
Dahonggou town is named after Dahonggou. During the Yuan Dynasty, Dahonggou town was under the jurisdiction of Xiliang Prefecture; in May 1983, it was divided into Yanxi, Xiding and xiaxiding townships, belonging to Haxi district; in October 1985, it was withdrawn and merged into Dahonggou township; in March 2018, Dahonggou township was withdrawn and established. As of June 2020, the population of the big red gully town registered residence was 8726.
In 2018, Dahonggou town has two comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
In Yuan Dynasty, Dahonggou town was under the jurisdiction of Xiliang Prefecture.
Ming Zhengtong three years (1438), for the Gulang Shouyu Qianhu jurisdiction.
In the Qing Dynasty, it was under the jurisdiction of liangzhouwei.
In May 1950, it was the fifth township of Tianzhu autonomous region.
In October 1953, it was Yanxi Township and bailing Township in Haxi district.
In July 1962, it was changed into Yanxi, Jiatai and bailing commune.
In October 1968, it was changed into five-star commune and Red Star ranch.
In February 1970, it was merged into Dahonggou commune.
In May 1983, it was divided into Yanxi, Xiding and xiaxiding townships, belonging to Haxi district.
In October 1985, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged into Dahonggou township.
In March 2018, Dahonggou township was withdrawn to build a town.

The main mountains are mohuanshan, dongqingdingyanzi, shenshugouding, etc. Mohongshan, the highest peak in the territory, is located at the intersection of the southwest end of Dahonggou Town, Haxi town and maozang Township, with an altitude of 4146 meters; Changfu, the lowest point, is located at the east end of Dahonggou Town, with an altitude of 2468 meters.
