Sanlei Town, belonging to Minqin County, Wuwei City, Gansu Province, is located in the west, South and north suburbs of Minqin County. It is adjacent to suwu town in the East, Xuebai town in the south, Daba town in the West and Hongshagang town in the north. The area is 53.18 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the population of three Lei town registered residence was 48812.

Sanlei town is named after the old Leitai where people pray for beauty, and the natural villages include shanglei, Zhonglei and Xialei. In October 1949, it belongs to small dam area. In October 1958, it became Sanlei commune with Daba and Xue Baihe. In April 1983, it was changed into Sanlei township. In December 2004, Sanlei Township and Chengguan Town merged into Sanlei town. As of June 2020, Sanlei town has jurisdiction over 7 communities, 15 administrative villages and 2 village level units. The town people's government is located in Zhaohu village.

History of construction

During the Han Dynasty, the Northern Dynasty, the Northern Wei Dynasty and the Western Wei Dynasty, Xuanwei county was the territory.

From the Northern Zhou Dynasty to the Sui Dynasty, it belonged to guzang county.

In Tang Dynasty, it belonged to Mingwei mansion. In Yuan Dynasty, it belonged to Yongchang Road.

In Ming Dynasty, it belonged to zhenfanwei.

In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Zhenfan county.

In 1934, it belonged to the first district.

In 1947, it belonged to Xiaoba township.
