Huaian town
Huaian Town, belonging to Liangzhou District, Wuwei City, Gansu Province, is located in the northwest of Liangzhou District, downstream of Xiying River irrigation area, Jinsha Town in the East, Songshu town in the south, Yongfeng town and Xiying town in the west, and Wuhe town in the north. The administrative area is 46.29 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the population of Huai town registered residence was 14644.
From the Western Han Dynasty to the Wei Dynasty of the Three Kingdoms, Huai'an town was under the jurisdiction of guzang County, Wuwei County; in 1962, it was divided into Huai'an, Yongfeng and Wuhe commune; in July 1983, Huai'an township was established; in September 2015, Huai'an township was withdrawn to build a town. As of June 2020, Huaian town has jurisdiction over one community, seven administrative villages, and the people's Government of Huaian town is located in Yicheng village.
In 2018, there were 21 industrial enterprises in Huai'an Town, including 2 large-scale enterprises and 12 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
From the Western Han Dynasty to the Wei Dynasty, Huai'an town was under the jurisdiction of guzang County, Wuwei County.
From the Western Jin Dynasty to the "five cool" period of the Sixteen States, it belonged to Yanran county and Wuxing county respectively.
From the Northern Wei Dynasty to the early Sui Dynasty, it belonged to Linzhong county and Xiangcheng County of Wuwei County.
In the Tang and Song Dynasties, it belonged to Shenniao county and Jialin county respectively.
In the Yuan Dynasty, it belonged to Liangzhou in the west of Yongchang Road.
During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was successively returned to liangzhouwei county and Wuwei County.
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it belonged to Xiying and fengle township of Wuwei County.
After September 1949, it belonged to Xiying and fengle districts.
In July 1952, it belongs to the 17th district (Huai'an).
In January 1956, for Huaian township.
In October 1958, it merged with Wuhe township to form Huai'an commune.
In 1962, it was divided into Huaian, Yongfeng, Wuhe commune.
In July 1983, Huaian township was established.
In September 2015, Huaian township was removed from the township to build a town.
