Beitan town
Beitan Town, subordinate to Jingyuan County, Baiyin City, Gansu Province, is located in the northeast of Jingyuan County, adjacent to Sanyanjing Township, Zhongwei City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in the East, Dongsheng township in the southeast, Wangjiashan town and Shuiquan town of Pingchuan District in the south, Yongxin Township in the west, and Xiangshan Township, Zhongwei City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in the north, with a total administrative area of 542.03 square kilometers.
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it belonged to Lungu Township Office; in 1983, it was changed to Beitan township. In August 2016, Beitan township was removed from township to town. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in North Beach was 47340. In June 2020, 18 administrative villages will be under the jurisdiction of Beitan town.
In 2011, the per capita net income of farmers in Beitan town was 4085 yuan. In 2018, Beitan town had 71 industrial enterprises and 105 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
The first year of the Republic of China (1912), belongs to the ancient township office.
In 1949, Dongning and Lugou townships were set up in Beitan, under the jurisdiction of Jingyuan four districts.
In 1958, Dongning Township and Lugou Township were withdrawn and Beitan commune was established.
In 1961, it was divided into two communes, Beitan commune and Lugou commune.
In 1963, it was incorporated into Beitan district office.
In 1968, Beitan commune was established.
In 1983, it was changed to Beitan township.
In August 2016, Beitan township was removed from township to town.

By the end of 2011, Beitan town had 18 administrative villages: Liangjiao, Dongning, Luanyao, Tianshui, Lugou, Jingtan, Beishan, Zhongtan, Dushan, Nantan, liuliang, Hongfeng, Huaxian, Xiaohonggou, Duzhai village, Dahonggou, Baoquan and Dongtan, and 99 villager groups. The town people's government is located in Duzhai village.
In June 2020, Beitan town governs 18 administrative villages: Baoquan village, Liangjiao village, Dongning village, Luanyao village, Huaxian village, Tianshui village, Lugou village, Beishan village, Zhongtan village, Dushan village, Nantan village, liuliang village, Hongfeng village, Jingtan village, shangxiaohonggou village, Duzhai village, Dahonggou village and Dongtan Village.

Beitan town is located in the hilly area of the south foot of Fengtai mountain in the northeast of the county. The terrain is high in the South and low in the north, and fluctuates greatly in the southwest and northwest. With an average altitude of about 1700 meters, the highest peak of dundunshan is located in Liangjiao village, with an altitude of 2300 meters; the lowest point of Shigou is located in Lugou village, with an altitude of 1400 meters.
