Yuquan town
Yuquan Town, belonging to Jiayuguan City, Gansu Province, is located in the northwest of Jiayuguan City. It is connected with Xincheng town in the East, Taolai town in the south, Yumen City in the West and Jinta County in the north, with an administrative area of 792 square kilometers.
By the end of 2018, there were 3067 registered residence population in Yu Quan town. As of October 2019, 3 administrative villages were under the jurisdiction of Yu Quan Town, and the government was in double support road.

History of construction
In the pre Qin period, the territory was Western Qiang; in the Qin period, it was Wusun; in the early Western Han Dynasty, it was kunxie king of Xiongnu; in the second year of Yuanshou (121 BC), it was set up in Jiuquan County, which was under the jurisdiction of Tianyi county.
In the Eastern Han Dynasty, it was under the control of Yanshou county.
During the Three Kingdoms period, it belonged to Cao Wei and was also under the jurisdiction of Jiuquan.
In the Western Jin Dynasty, it was owned by Qianliang zhanggui, then by Xiliang Li, and later by Beiliang Juqu Mengxun.
In the later Wei Dynasty, Jiuquan army was established and restored to the county, which was under its jurisdiction.
In the early Sui Dynasty, the county was abolished and divided into Suzhou, belonging to Fulu county.
In the Tang Dynasty, Jiuquan county (later changed to Suzhou) was set up under its jurisdiction.
The Song Dynasty was ruled by Uighur and later by Xixia.
The Yuan Dynasty belonged to Suzhou road; in 1372, Feng Shengping, the great general of the Song Dynasty, decided to build a Tucheng in Jiayuguan to resist foreign invasion.
Twenty seven years (1394), set up Jiayuguan, belonging to Suzhou Wei.
During the period from Jiaqing to Tongzhi, there was an inspection team in Jiayuguan.
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it was under the jurisdiction of Jiuquan county.
In 1950, Jiayuguan township was established,
In 1951, Jiayuguan township was changed into Jiayuguan district.
In 1954, Jiayuguan district was changed into the second district. In the same year, Jiayuguan township was set up.
In 1958, Jiayuguan commune was established.
In 1965, it was transferred from Jiuquan county to Jiayuguan district.
In 1983, the commune was abolished and Jiayuguan township was restored.
In September 2003, the township was withdrawn to build Yuquan town.
In October 2010, anyuangou village was designated.

Yuquan town is located in the northwest of Jiayuguan City. It is connected with Xincheng town in the East, Taolai town in the south, Yumen City in the West and Jinta County in the north. It is 5 kilometers away from the center of Jiayuguan City, with an administrative area of 792 square kilometers.

Yuquan town is located in the northwest of Jiayuguan City. The terrain is high in the southwest and low in the northeast. The terrain proportion is about 45% of the hillside, 35% of the sand moraine flat land, and 20% of the available flat land (including desert grassland, oasis, etc.). The highest peak is Heishan, 2799 meters above sea level, and the lowest point is in the northeast.

Yuquan town has a temperate arid desert climate, with an average annual temperature of 7.5 ℃ and frost free period of 130 days, up to 151 days. The extreme annual maximum rainfall is 165.7 mm, the extreme annual minimum rainfall is 36 mm, and the daily maximum rainfall is 28.6 mm. The rainfall is concentrated from June to August every year.
hydrology
There is Taolai River in Yuquan Town, with a total runoff of 460 million cubic meters. Shiguanying river is a seasonal river. The spring water is related to Jiuyan spring, Dacaotan spring and shiguanxia spring group on the east side of the town. The supply source is Qilian mountain snow water, and all farmland is irrigated by water conservancy.
