Haishiwan Town, belonging to Honggu District, Lanzhou City, Gansu Province, is located between Lanzhou City, Gansu Province and Xining City, Qinghai Province. It is 110 kilometers away from each other. It is adjacent to Yongdeng County in the East, Honggu Township in the southeast, Minhe Hui and Tu Autonomous County in Qinghai Province across Datong River and Huangshui River in the South and southwest, and Xiayao street in the north. The area is 80 square kilometers. In 2018, 14971 people registered residence.
In 1958, it belonged to Honggu commune of Yongdeng County. In 1960, Honggu commune was transferred to Honggu District of Lanzhou city. In 1971, it was changed into Haishiwan street. In 1986, the street was changed into Haishiwan town. In June 2020, Haishiwan town governs three communities and two administrative villages.
