Xiashe Township

Xiashe township is located in the northern mountainous area of Yu County, 40 kilometers south from the county. The township is adjacent to liangjiazhai Township in the East, Shangshe town in the south, Xipan Township in the west, Dingxiang County and Wutai County in the north, covering an area of 132.98 square kilometers. With continuous mountains and rich water resources, it is the intersection of Hutuo River, Longhua River and Wuhe river. Shiyang highway runs through the whole Township, bringing convenient transportation to Xiashe. The township governs 20 administrative villages with a permanent population of 7665 (in 2017), with a total of more than 7700 mu of cultivated land, including 5700 mu of irrigated land. In 2010, the total rural economic income of the township reached 44 million yuan, the fiscal revenue reached 4.88 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers reached 4350 yuan, which was awarded the honorary title of "red flag township" by the county Party committee and the county government.

Agricultural economic development

Agricultural economy is prominent. Xiashe township is a pure agricultural area, and the planting industry is the leading industry for the people to survive and develop. Longhua River, Hutuo River and Wuhe river flow through the whole area. The altitude of the township is about 500 meters. The climate is mild, the frost free period is long, and there is no industrial pollution. It is a natural place to develop green organic agriculture. It is the main production area of walnut, pepper, persimmon, summer yam, field vegetables and other characteristic agricultural products in the whole city and county. In recent years, with the continuous increase of industrial structure adjustment, the production pattern of dry fruit, vegetables and water resources utilization as the three leading industries in the rural agricultural production has been basically formed. It has the largest walnut production base in the city, with a planting area of 15000 mu. It has the largest pollution-free vegetable production base in the county, with an area of over 5000 mu. With the continuous innovation of agricultural business model, there are 27 professional and technical cooperatives in the township, including vegetables, dried fruits, small grains, aquaculture and so on. Among them, fanjiahui Huilong aquaculture cooperative, xiaxiyao Huimin small grains planting cooperative and Zaoyuan Tianhong aquaculture cooperative have the best economic benefits.

Industrial and Tertiary Development

There are abundant mineral resources in the township, such as marble, feldspar, tourmaline, diopside, quartzite, asbestos, iron ore and copper ore. Restricted by many factors such as region and resources, there have been few industrial enterprises in Xiashe. Water resources have been developed, Wangjiatan hydropower station located on the Bank of Hutuo River has been under construction, metal and non-metal mineral resources have yet to be developed, and the development of the tertiary industry mainly focuses on transportation, catering services, commercial retail and other aspects. As the most active economic element, it has played a positive role in promoting the economic development of poor mountainous areas. In recent years, the government has been increasing the training and management of labor export, actively encouraging and helping the rural farmers to go out to work, which has promoted the continuous increase of farmers' income.

New rural construction

In accordance with the "20 word" policy of new rural construction, we will comprehensively promote the progress of rural economy and social undertakings. scenic spot

Xiashe township of Yuxian County is a famous tourist scenic spot. Tianqiao mountain tourist scenic spot is located on the Bank of Longhua River, with beautiful mountains and rivers, various vegetation types and shady trees. There are two 40 meter high waterfalls, one 20 meter high waterfalls, and one 80 meter high Longteng alien stone waterfall. In particular, there is a 40 meter long section of natural mineral water flowing continuously at minus 40-50 degrees, which has great ornamental and commercial prospects. Tianqiao mountain is the site of ancient Chouyou Kingdom and the first place for the orphans of Zhao family.
