Donghui town is located in the east of Pingding County, Hebei Province in the East and Xiyang County in the south. County Highway Baiqi line and Zhangdong line run through the whole area. Economics

Historical evolution
After the liberation of Pingding in 1947, Donghui town was under the jurisdiction of Pingding (Lunan) county government. In March 1950, the county was divided into 11 districts. Donghui town belongs to the eighth and ninth districts. Eight districts are located in Donghui village and nine districts are located in Qigen village. In 1953, the district township system was implemented. The county was divided into five districts, and 69 townships were directly under the jurisdiction of the county. Qigen District governed four townships, namely chuangquan, niangniangmiao, yingzhuang and Qigen, and eight townships, namely Shiyao, Huang'an, Mashan, liangbai, Donghui, Xiaochuan, madiyu and waling, were directly under the jurisdiction of the county. In 1956, the county was divided into 62 townships. Donghui town was divided into 9 townships: Donghui, lihuang'an, waling, houshiyao, Niangniang Temple, Mashan, Chanquan, Xiaochuan and yingzhuang. In December 2000, the whole county withdrew the township and merged the town. The former Donghui Town, Mashan town and Chanquan town merged into a new Donghui town.
Agriculture
Donghui town is a dry farming area with poor land, mainly planting corn and millet. After the land reform and the agricultural cooperative movement, the capital construction of farmland was greatly carried out, and the agricultural production was gradually developed. In 1949, there were 360310.6 mu of land in the town, including 39002 mu of cultivated land, 7043 rural labors and 180 Jin of grain per mu. After the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the household contract responsibility system was implemented, and agriculture, forestry and animal husbandry developed in an all-round way. Donghui town industry started earlier.
