Tongqiao Street

Tongqiao street, subordinate to Dazu District of Chongqing, is located in the southeast of Dazu District, bordering Yongchuan District in the East, Shuanglu town and longtanzi street in the south, Youting town in the west, Longshui town and Yulong town in the north, 21 kilometers away from the residence of Dazu District People's government, with a total area of 18.5 square meters.

On December 12, 1974, Yuantong commune and Tuqiao commune built Tongqiao commune; in 2014, Tongqiao town was changed into Tongqiao street. At the end of 2011, the total population of Tongqiao street was 12988. As of June 2020, Tongqiao street has five communities under its jurisdiction, and the sub district office is located at No. 88, group 6, Maodian community.

History of construction

On December 12, 1974, Yuantong commune and Tuqiao commune established Tongqiao commune.

In May 1984, Tongqiao commune was withdrawn and Tongqiao township was established.

In April 1996, Tongqiao township was withdrawn and Tongqiao town was built.

In 2014, Tongqiao town was replaced by Tongqiao street.
