Fangta town
Fangta town is subordinate to Jia County, Yulin City, Shaanxi Province. It is located in the northwest of Jiaxian County, bordering wangjiabian town in the East, zhuguanzhai town in the south, Guta town in Yuyang District in the West and Qingyun town in Yuyang District in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 14.9 km, and the maximum distance from north to south is 21.2 km, with a total area of 174.80 square kilometers.
As of June 2020, Fangtan town has 17 administrative villages under its jurisdiction. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Fang collapsed was 9946. Historical evolution
It got its name from the people's Government of the town in Fangta village.
At the end of Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, it belonged to Xiangshi.
In 1949, it belonged to Xiangshi district.
In November 1956, it belonged to 12 districts (wangjiabian), and set up Fangtan township.
In October 1958, Fangta commune was established, with 37 production teams under its jurisdiction.
In December 1958, Jia County was merged into Mizhi County, and then changed into wangjiabian commune.
In September 1961, after the restoration of Jia County, yayaodi commune was established.
In January 1970, it was renamed Fangtan commune.
In July 1984, it was changed into Fangta Township, which has jurisdiction over 37 administrative villages.
