Chanjiayan town is under the jurisdiction of Ningqiang County, Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province. Located in the southeast corner of Ningqiang County, it borders Liping town of Nanzheng District in the East, maobahe town in the south, maobahe town in the West and Erlangba town in the north. The total area is 98.57 square kilometers.

As of June 2020, six administrative villages are under the jurisdiction of chanjiayan town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence of the Zen family was 5786. In 2011, the total agricultural output value of chanjiayan town reached 12 million yuan, and the total social commodity sales reached 07 million yuan.

Historical evolution

In the east of the town, there is a huge rock with high protuberance. There is a big cave under the rock. Monks once built temples according to the cave and taught Zen Buddhism, so it was named Zen rock.

In 1935, the Red Army established the Soviet township government here.

In 1937, Baojia system was implemented, which was under the jurisdiction of Tiantai township.

In 1949, it was under the jurisdiction of Jing'an District Office.

In 1953, set up the Zen home Rock Township, under the management of Liping central district.

In 1958, the abandoned Liping central district was under the jurisdiction of Ningqiang County, and the Zen family village was restored.
