Jinquan town belongs to Mianxian County, Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province. Located in the east of Mianxian county and south of Hanjiang River, it borders Yangchun town of Nanzheng District in the East and south, Wenquan Town in the West and Laodaosi town and Xinjiezi town across the river in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 10.4 km, and the maximum distance from north to south is 7.4 km, with a total area of 43.14 square kilometers.

History and culture
Jinquan temple is located in Jinquan Town, Southeast of Mianxian county. It is backed by Daba Mountain and faces Hanjiang River. Jinquan town is named after Jinquan temple. The tree in the temple needs three people to embrace, with a circumference of 3.79 meters. According to the measurement, the tree is 1900 years old and was planted in the Han Dynasty. On the second floor of Jinquan temple, a reclining Buddha is worshipped. The Buddha, 6.69 meters long, is a statue of Buddha Sakyamuni, known as the first Reclining Buddha in southern Shaanxi.
There is also a little-known Han Dynasty site near Jinquan Temple: yongyaba and Dinggong tomb. The village names of Yongdong, Yongxi, mushang and Muxia in Jinquan town come from this. Yongchi dam is close to the South Bank of the Han River. It used to belong to Baocheng county. According to Baocheng county annals, "Yongchi dam is also a Yongchi dam with Yongchi well on it.". "Hanzhong Fu Zhi" records: "Ding Gong tomb, (Baocheng) County South 30 Li yongyaba Gushan top, there are stone tablets.". Yongchi and Dinggong were both generals who followed Liu Bang and Xiang Yu to fight for supremacy. The historical story of Liu Bang's "biting his teeth to seal Yongchi and cutting Dinggong with a smile" was widely spread in the local area.
