Xieyuan town is located in the northwest of Dayi County, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province.

Xieyuan town covers an area of 62.87 square kilometers and has a total population of 7122 (2017).

In December 2019, Xieyuan town will be abolished, and the administrative area of Panshi village in Xieyuan town will be under the jurisdiction of Xinchang Town, and the people's Government of Xinchang Town will be stationed at 79 North Si'an road; the administrative areas of Taiping community, sanyuanchang village, Liuping village, Jiangyuan village and Dapeng Village in Xieyuan town will be under the jurisdiction of Minjiang town.

500 meters up the hall site are a stone archway and an ancient tomb. The right part of the memorial archway is no longer there. It was damaged during the cultural revolution. There are still sculptures of Double Dragons and double phoenixes on the top of the archway. On the upper beam of the main archway, there is a four character regular script "lanruohuatai", which is signed as "Jiazi of Wanli in Ming Dynasty". Behind the memorial archway is a stone tomb with flying phoenix and unicorn carved on the left and cloud crane and immortal deer carved on the right. The stone gate of the ancient tomb is no longer there, and the space inside is very spacious, which can be viewed upright.
