Hedongdian town belongs to Hantai District, Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province. Located 15 kilometers north of Hanzhong City, it is connected with Zongying town in the East, Southeast and south, Baocheng town in Mianxian County across the river in the southwest and West, qingqiaoyi town in Liuba County in the northwest and North, and Laozhuang town in Chenggu County in the northeast. The maximum distance from east to west is 15 kilometers, and the maximum distance from north to south is 22 kilometers. The total area is 136 square kilometers, including 133 square kilometers of land, accounting for 97.8%, and 3 square kilometers of water, accounting for 2.2%.

Historical evolution

In 1958, Baocheng county was abolished and changed into hedongdian management area, which belonged to Hanzhong City.

In 1984, it was changed into Baohe township.

In 1990, Baohe district was set up.

In October 1992, three villages in Baohe District, namely Zhangzhai, Zhouzhai and Huaguo, which belong to Baohe Township, Tiantai Township and Zhangzhai Township, and three villages in xingouqiao Township, namely quluying, Zouma and Qiaoli, were merged to establish hedongdian town.
