Zhiluo town belongs to Fuxian County, Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province. Located in the west of Fuxian county and the middle reaches of Hulu River, it borders beidaode Township in the East, zhangcunyi town in the southeast, Shuanglong town in the southwest, Zhangjiawan Town in the west, Ganquan County village in the north and Chafang street in the northeast. The maximum distance from east to west is 60 kilometers, and the maximum distance from north to south is 26.7 kilometers, with a total area of 1043.40 square kilometers.

Zhiluo town has national Zhiluo battle martyrs cemetery, national key cultural relics qinzhidao, Baishan Temple Pagoda, Shihong Temple grottoes, and Ziwuling National Nature Reserve.

Historical evolution

Zhilu county was established here in the Western Han Dynasty, which was named after Zhidao in Qin Dynasty. It was abolished at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, and its homonym was Zhiluo.

In 1369, Fucai Sanli was set up.

In the Qing Dynasty, it was renamed Guiren Sanli.

In 1940, Zhiluo district was established.

In 1949, it was divided into six districts and one township.

In 1958, Chuanfeng commune was established.

In 1959, it was the Zhiluo management area of Chuanfeng commune.

History and culture

Yan'an section of Qin Zhidao site

In 2006, archaeologists found the pavement and drainage ditch of Qinzhi road in Fuxian County, Shaanxi Province. On March 2, 2009, Shaanxi Academy of archaeology organized personnel to excavate qinzhidao in Fuxian County, Shaanxi Province. The project took 56 days. In addition to the discovery of some ancient coins, archaeologists also excavated a large number of building sites beside Qinzhi Road, which were later identified as the site of bingzhan. This excavation is the first large-scale excavation of the Qin Zhidao site, and was selected as the top ten new archaeological discoveries in 2009. The Fuxian section of Qinzhi road is 125 km long. Its road surface is generally 30-40 m wide, and the widest part is 58 M. A large number of mutually overlapped ruts and footprints appeared in this section, and rammed earth slope protection was built on the side near the river, mountain and ditch. In the narrowest section of the road, there are a large number of architectural relics left behind. There are three marks of artificial destruction in the whole section of the road.

On May 3, 2013, the Yan'an section of the Qin Zhidao site (Fuxian section) was listed as the seventh batch of national key cultural relics protection units by the State Council.

Baishan Temple Pagoda
