Xinghe town
Xinghe town belongs to Zhidan County, Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province. It is located in the east of Zhidan County, bordering Zhaoan town and Huaziping town of Ansai District in the East, Baoan town and Shuanghe Township in the south, Baoan Town, shunning town and wuliwan township of Jingbian County of Yulin City in the west, and sicklewan town of Ansai District in the north. The total area is 494.10 square kilometers.
As of June 2020, Xinghe town has 18 administrative villages. As of 2018, the registered residence of 20849 people in Xing River town. In 2011, the total agricultural output value of Xinghe town was 86.52 million yuan, and the total social commodity sales reached 26.5 million yuan.
Historical evolution
It is named after Xingzi river.
Originally belonged to Zichang County, in July of 1937, it belonged to Zhidan County.
In 1958, Xinghe commune was established.
In 1984, it was changed into a town.
In 2011, zhangqu township was abolished and merged into Xinghe town.

Yan'an section of Qin Zhidao site
Qinzhi road is the only national traffic road along the ridge and highland in ancient China, known as the ancestor of expressway. It starts from Chunhua of Shaanxi Province in the South and ends at Baotou of Inner Mongolia in the north. It passes through Xunyi, Huangling, Fuxian, Ganquan, Zhidan, Ansai, Yulin and Yijinhuoluo, Dongsheng and Dalate to Baotou. Its completion is not only an important part of the northern defense system of the Central Plains Dynasty, but also an important link and bridge for economic and cultural exchanges and ethnic integration in northern China. Zhidan, as a part of Qin Zhidao, has a large number of ancient roads, palaces and related sites. It has very important humanistic and historical information value for the study of the history of northern Qin and Han Dynasties, especially the war history, traffic history, communication history, economic history and ethnic relations history of Xiongnu.
On May 3, 2013, the Yan'an section (Zhidan section) of qinzhidao site was listed as the seventh batch of national key cultural relics protection units by the State Council.
