Lingao town
Lingao town belongs to Baishui County, Weinan City, Shaanxi Province. Located in the northwest of Baishui County, it borders Dukang town and Yaohe town in the East, Gaoyang town of Pucheng County and gaolouhe township of Yintai District of Tongchuan City in the south, Yuntai Township in the West and Qipan town of Yijun County of Tongchuan City in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 15 kilometers, and the maximum distance from north to south is 10 kilometers, with a total area of 134.20 square kilometers.
As of June 2020, Lingao town has one community and 17 administrative villages. As of 2018, Lin Gao had 38017 registered residence population. Historical evolution
It was originally named Wangjia village. According to the epitaph, it was named Lin Gao in the 19th year of Jiajing (1540) of the Ming Dynasty.
In the 19th year of Jiajing in Ming Dynasty (1540), the name of Lingao village was used.
After Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, there were towns.
In 1961, Lingao commune was established.
In 1984, it was changed to Lingao township.
In December 2001, the former Xudao township was merged into Lingao township.
In June 2005, it was changed to Lingao town.
