Jinshun town
Jinshun Town, affiliated to Lezhi county, Ziyang City, Sichuan Province. It is located in the northwest of the county, bordering Taian township of Zhongjiang County in the East, Liangan town in the south, Yongle Township, Jintang County in the West and Fengdian Town, Zhongjiang County in the north. The maximum distance between East and west of the district is 10km, the maximum distance from north to south is 8km, and the total area is 59.12 square kilometers.

Historical evolution
It was named Jinjiaba in the ancient times. In the late Ming and early Qing Dynasty, some people of Jin family started business here. Because of the booming business, they changed the meaning of "prosperity and smooth" to Xingshun field. In the twenty-four years of the Republic of China (1935), the name of the village was changed to Jinshun.
In 1949, it was located in 16 districts of Zhongjiang County.
In 1953, it was the 10th District of Lezhi county.
In November 1955, Jinshun district was set up.
In January 1956, it was incorporated into Liangan district and Jinshun township was set up.
In 1958, the township changed into a commune.
In 1984, the commune was transformed into a township.
In August 1992, the town was changed.
