Qiupotou town
Qiupotou Town, subordinate to Xunyi County, Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the northwest of the county. Qiupotou street, where the town people's government is located, is 23 kilometers away from the county. It is adjacent to Zhitian town in the East, taicun town by liangqugou in the south, dimiao town and Xinmin Town in Bin County in the west, Yonghe Township in Zhengning County in Gansu Province by dianzi River in the north. Located in the Loess Plateau, it belongs to the central tableland of Xunyi county. The terrain is high in the northeast and low in the southwest, and the height difference is not obvious. The tableland extends irregularly from northeast to southwest. It has a total area of 87.22 square kilometers and a permanent population of 24890 (2017).
At the beginning of the Republic of China, Xunyi county was divided into five districts: the middle, the East, the south, the north and the West. In June 1984, when the government and the society were separated, the people's Government of qiupotou township was established. In February 1998, it was renamed qiupotou Town People's government. As of October 2019, qiupotou town has jurisdiction over 11 administrative villages, including qiupotou village, Sanji village, Pingfang village, Menjia village, kanhuagong village, beiyatou village, Xiwa village, Jiaocun village, Taibao village, ganjiadian village and nianqiaozi village.
In 2010, the gross national product of qiupotou town was 306 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 5445 yuan. In 2017, there were 68 enterprises and 410 employees in qiupotou town.
Historical evolution
According to archaeological findings, there is a Neolithic site in Pingfang village, qiupotou Town, which indicates that people lived here at that time.
It is said that in the early Tang Dynasty, a village was built at Potou beside a Qiuchi, so it was named qiupotou.
When Sanshui county was established in Chenghua period of Ming Dynasty (1465-1487), there were 5 towns and 16 Li in the county. Qiupotou belongs to jiaocunli and beigongli respectively.
In the Qing Dynasty, jiaocunli governed the lower tableland of today's qiupotou and the villages of dimiao; beigongli governed the upper tableland of today's qiupotou and some areas under Zhitian.
At the beginning of the Republic of China, the county was divided into five districts: Central, Eastern, southern, northern and western, and qiupotou township was subordinate to the northern district.
In 1935, a revolutionary base was established. Qiupotou district belongs to Xinzheng County, which is the fourth district. The district office is located in qiupotou village. It is composed of the first township (kanhuagong), the second township (Pingfang), the third township (beiyatou), the fourth township (Jiaocun) and the fifth township (ganjiadian).
In 1936, the Baojia system was implemented. The northern district is divided into three joint guarantors: Taiyu, dimiao and Taiping. Under the joint guarantee, there is a guarantee, and under the guarantee, there is a guarantee. There is a director in the joint insurance, including the head of the insurance company, the head of the insurance company and the head of the insurance company. Kanhua palace and Sanji belong to the three kinds of protection, and the protection office is located in Kanhua palace. Other villages belong to Taiping united insurance.

In 1956, dianzi district was merged into two townships, qiupotou Township in the upper part and ganjiadian Township in the lower part.
In 1958, when the people's commune was formed, qiupotou Township and ganjiadian Township merged to establish Heping people's commune. The office is located in qiupotou village.
In 1959, Fuyi county was merged into Bin County, and Heping people's commune was merged into Zhitian people's commune. After that, qiupotou management area is set up.
In 1961, after the county system was restored, qiupotou people's commune was established.
In June 1984, when the government and the society were separated, the people's Government of qiupotou township was established.
In February 1998, it was renamed qiupotou Town People's government.

In 2005, bawangzhuang village was merged into beiyatou village, Liujiazhuang village into Xiwa village, Goujia village into Luojia village, fenghuotai village into Jiaocun village.
In October 2006, after the merger of Hecun village in qiupotou Town, there were 15 administrative villages, 44 natural villages and 92 villager groups, including Sanji, menmen, Pingfang, Menjia, kanhuagong, Zhicun, beiyatou, qiupotou, Xiwa, Jiaocun, Taibao, kelaizi, Luojia, ganjiadian and nianqiaozi.

Qiupotou town is located in the north of Xunyi County, between 35.23 ° N and 108.29 ° E. It is connected with Xinmin Town in Binxian County in the South and Zhitian town in the north. The plateau is 1010-1350 meters above sea level, with an average slope of 1.3%. According to the landform, the land types can be divided into three categories: hillside land, tableland land land and Sichuan Road land. Tableland is the main body, accounting for 80% of the total land area. Most of the soils are yellow loamy soil and black loessial soil with deep soil layer, good physical properties, high fertility and strong water storage capacity.

Qiupotou town has few water systems, few rivers and little water. Zhidang river flows through bawangzhuang and Liujiazhuang. In addition, there are other unnamed ditches, such as liangqugou (upstream of baizigou), menmenggou, menjiagou, kanhuagong and Xiwa.

Qiupotou town is a warm temperate continental monsoon climate with moderate temperature and hot rain in the same period. The average annual maximum temperature in July is 36.3 ℃, the average minimum temperature in January is – 4.9 ℃, and the annual accumulated temperature is 4308.2. Annual sunshine is 2497 hours. The annual precipitation is 606.3 mm, most of which are concentrated in July, August and September, with thunderstorms in summer and continuous rain in autumn. The early frost begins in late October, and the late frost ends in early April of the next year. The frost free period of the whole year is 179 days. Due to the influence of terrain, there is a little difference in heat in the territory. The wheat harvest in the upper area is about 5-7 days later than that in the lower area.
