Taicun town
Taicun Town, subordinate to Xunyi County, Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the northwest of the county. Taicun street, where the town people's government is located, is 12 kilometers away from the county. It is adjacent to Zhitian town and Chengguan Street in the East, Zhengjia town in the south, Xinmin Town in Bin County in the west, and qiupotou town across liangqugou in the north, with a total area of 99.91 square kilometers and a total resident population of 46036 (2017).
Jianzhen in Ming Dynasty is one of the five ancient towns in Xunyi county. In 1983, with the approval of Shaanxi Provincial People's government, it was renamed taicun people's commune because of its duplicate name with Taiyu commune in Binxian county. In June 1984, taicun township was set up when the government and society were divided, and it was changed into taicun town in December. In 2011, equatorial township was removed and merged into taicun town. As of October 2019, taicun town has jurisdiction over 20 administrative villages including taicun and zhangjiacun. The main scenic spots are Tangjia houses.
In 2010, the gross national product of taicun town was 523 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 4817 yuan. In 2017, there were 102 enterprises in taicun Town, with 1692 employees, including 31 industrial enterprises and 5 large-scale enterprises.
Historical evolution
It is said that taicun town was originally named yongfengbao, and later Dayu (Guanyu) temple was built here. The name of the village was changed to Dayu village, and later it was falsely said to be Taiyu village.
Jianzhen in Ming Dynasty is one of the five ancient towns in Xunyi county.
In 1950, Taiyu district was established.
In March 1956, Taiyu township was established.
In September 1958, Taiyu Township, Zheng Township and Tang Township merged to form Dongfeng people's commune. In December, when Fuyi county was merged into Fuxian County, Taiyu administrative area was established, which was subordinate to Xunyi people's commune.
In August 1961, Taiyu people's commune was established after Xunyi county system was restored.

On September 1, 2017, the former Ministry of agriculture of the people's Republic of China approved the implementation of national registration and protection of geographical indications of agricultural products for "Xunyi apple".

Xunyi suona
Xunyi suona is a kind of folk percussion music. According to the local natural environment and geographical location, it can be divided into three systems: Zhou suona, Lu suona and Beiyuan suona. Taicun town is located in the distribution area of Lu suona. Lu school's performance style is rough, vigorous and powerful, showing the momentum of ten thousand horses galloping, known for its "hard whistle".

Tangjia folk house is located in Tangjia village, 7km away from Xunyi county. It is the former residence of Tang family's rich man in Sanshui (Xunyi used to be called Sanshui) in the middle and late Qing Dynasty. The original 87 hospitals, more than 2700. After the war and the sale of their descendants, there are only 150 medium and second-class houses adjacent to the two courtyards, and a mausoleum of Tang Tingquan, the third grade salt transportation envoy, covering an area of 1483 square meters. Its architectural style integrates northern courtyard and Suzhou Hangzhou garden art. In 1988, it was named "Tangjia folk custom museum of Xunyi county" and listed as a key cultural relic protection unit at the provincial level.
