Mingshanao Township
Mingshanao Township, belonging to tumed Right Banner of Baotou City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the south of tumed Right Banner, tumechuan plain and Yellow River irrigation area. It is adjacent to Haizi Township and Salaqi town in the East, Ordos City across the river in the south, shamujia town in Donghe District in the West, Salaqi town and Shaerqin town in Donghe District in the north. The area is 250 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, 35345 people registered residence.
In 1956, the township was removed from the district and mingshanao township was established. In 1958, it was incorporated into Tumet banner with Salaqi county. When the commune was formed, it was a satellite commune. In April 1959, the satellite commune was renamed fayanshen commune. In September 1961, fayanshen commune was divided into four communes, among which mingshanao commune was yangjiagedu commune. In 1963, yangjiagedu commune was relocated to Liucui village of mingshanao brigade, so it was renamed mingshanao commune. In January 1969, tumed banner was divided into tumed Right Banner and tumed Left Banner. Mingshanao commune belonged to tumed Right Banner. In September 1984, mingshanao commune was transformed into a township. In June 2020, mingshanao Township governs one community and 18 administrative villages.
In 2018, there were 55 industrial enterprises in mingshanao Township, including 3 Industrial Enterprises above Designated Size and 29 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
Historical evolution
In the middle and late Ming Dynasty, the territory of Shanao township was the pasture of Manchu official tribe.
There are villages in the Qing Dynasty. The Mongolian nationality is under the jurisdiction of 6 A of Tumet right wing banner, and the Han nationality is under the jurisdiction of salaqitingnan township.
In 1914, the Mongols were under the jurisdiction of 6 A of Tumet right wing banner, and the Hans were under the jurisdiction of District 2 of Salaqi county.
In 1938, the Mongols were under the jurisdiction of right-wing 6a of tumed banner, and the Hans were under the jurisdiction of Jianyu Township, Salaqi county.
In 1946, the Mongolian nationality was under the jurisdiction of the sixth autonomous Supervision Office of Tumet special banner, and the Han nationality was under the jurisdiction of Hebin township of Salaqi county.
In April 1950, the Mongolian nationality was under the jurisdiction of District 6 of tumed banner, and the Han nationality was under the jurisdiction of District 3 of Salaqi county.
