Zhitian town
Zhitian Town, subordinate to Xunyi County, Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the northeast of the county. The people's Government of the town is located in Zhitian street, which is 18 kilometers away from the county. It is said that Yuchi Jingde, the general of the Tang Dynasty, took the place of farming here, so it was named Zhitian, and later it was named Village town. It is connected with Malan town in the East, taicun town and qiupotou town in the west, wenjiachuan and Yangjiagou in the north, Yonghe Township, Zhengning County, Gansu Province, and Chengguan town in the south, with a total area of 72.04 square kilometers and a total resident population of 25619 (2017).
Qin, Han, Wei, Jin and Tang Xianzong were the seat of the county government. The town was built in the Ming Dynasty and is one of the five ancient towns in Xunyi county. In June 1984, Zhitian township was established when the government and society were divided, and it was changed into Zhitian town in December. As of October 2019, Zhitian town has jurisdiction over 11 administrative villages, including Zhitian street, Majiabao village, Zhaozhuang village, Zaochi village, Wanshou village, Yang village, Qing village, Bixia village, Wujiabao village, xiaoyuzi village and heng'anzhou village.
In 2014, the total income of rural economy in Zhitian town was 492.6 million yuan, and the investment in fixed assets was 207 million yuan. In March 1956, there were Zhitian Township, Wujiabao Township, yangpotou Township and Majiabao township.
In September 1958, Zhitian Township, Wujiabao Township, yangpotou Township and Tang hometown Wanxing village were merged to form Chaoying people's commune. In December of the same year, Xuyi county was merged into Xuyi and Zhitian people's commune was established.

On September 1, 2017, the former Ministry of agriculture of the people's Republic of China approved the implementation of national registration and protection of geographical indications of agricultural products for "Xunyi apple".
History and culture
Xunyi suona is a kind of folk percussion music. According to the local natural environment and geographical location, it can be divided into three systems: Zhou suona, Lu suona and Beiyuan suona. Zhitian town is located in the distribution area of Lu suona. Lu school's performance style is rough, vigorous and powerful, showing the momentum of ten thousand horses galloping, known for its "hard whistle".
