Qiandong town
Qiandong Town, belonging to Liquan County, Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the north of Xianyang city. It borders Taiping town of Jingyang County in the East, Mazhuang town of Qindu District in the south, Beidu town of Weicheng District in the southeast, Zhangbao town in the West and Fenghuo town in the north. Its total area is 52.59 square kilometers.
As of June 2020, Qiandong town has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages. As of 2018, the population of Qian Dong town registered residence was 33355. In 2011, the total agricultural output value of Qiandong town reached 230 million yuan, the total industrial output value was 690 million yuan, and the total social commodity sales reached 890 million yuan.
Historical evolution
In the Late Jin Dynasty, the town was set up here, which means "prosperity forever", so it was named Yongxing Town; in the middle Qing Dynasty, the north-south road was called Qian in ancient times, and it was located in the east of the road, so it is now called Qiandong.
In the Han Dynasty, it was called Nianxiang.
It is known as Yongxing Town.
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it was established in four districts of Liquan county.
In May 1949, it belonged to the three districts of Liquan county.
In January 1956, Qiandong township was established.
In November 1958, Fenghuo commune was established.
In December 1958, Liquan county was abolished and merged into Qianxian County, still known as Fenghuo commune.
In 1961, after the restoration of Liquan county system, Qiandong commune was established.
At the end of 1984, the commune was changed into a town.
