Jiuchenggong Town, subordinate to Linyou County, Baoji City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the south central part of Linyou county. It connects Changfeng Town, Tiandu town and Famen town of Fufeng County in the East, ZHUJIAZHUANG Town, Gujun town and Pucun town of Qishan County in the south, Zhaoxian town in the West and cuimu town in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 28.9 km, and the maximum distance from north to south is 29.6 km, with a total area of 478.51 square kilometers.

In 1949, it belonged to Xingguo District, with jurisdiction over Chengguan, fengzidi, zhentou, chengmingyao and liangshe.
In September 1958, Xingguo commune was set up. In December of the same year, Linyou commune was set up under the jurisdiction of Fengxiang county. It has five administrative areas: zhentou, liangshe, sangshuyuan, Zhaoxian and Getou temple.
In September 1961, zhentou commune was established with 11 production teams under its jurisdiction.
In March 1967, it was renamed five-star commune.
In August 1969, zhentou commune was restored.

The site of Renshou palace of Sui Dynasty and Jiucheng palace of Tang Dynasty is located at the intersection of Dushui River, Lishui River and beimafang River in Xincheng District of Linyou County, Shaanxi Province. Founded in the 13th year of kaihuang (593), it was initially called Renshou palace. Tang Zhenguan five years (631) expansion, renamed Jiucheng palace, with forbidden court, Arsenal and official Temple. The site is 1010 meters long from east to west, 300 meters wide from north to south, 448 meters long and 3-4 meters high. There are rammed palace platform, que gate foundation, stone column foundation, stone well, stone canal, and Tang Dynasty "Jiucheng palace Liquan stele" and "Wannian stele". The patterns on them are polished and carved exquisitely, which provides valuable information for the study of Sui and Tang Dynasty architectural history.
On November 20, 1996, the site of Renshou palace of Sui Dynasty and Jiucheng palace of Tang Dynasty was listed as the fourth batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
