Zhang Zai put forward the theory of "four actions" or "four sentences teaching", that is: "to set up the mind for heaven and earth, to set up the life for the people, to carry on the unique learning, and to open peace for all generations." "For heaven and earth, for the people" and other orientations first reflect the ideals that people should pursue, and at the same time, it stipulates the mission of people, that is, to turn the above ideals into reality. Correspondingly, the core of the above formulation is the unity of ideal consciousness and mission consciousness. Based on the theory of "four actions", Guan Xue started from its founder, that is, paying attention to the combination of ideal consciousness and mission consciousness, thus forming its unique spiritual realm.
