Historical evolution
It is named after jinyangchuan.
In October 1949, Sigou district was set up, which is located in Sigou village and has jurisdiction over five townships.
In May 1950, it was changed to Xiaoyi district.
In February 1956, Shigou township was set up, with 18 senior communities under its jurisdiction.
In September 1958, it belonged to Hongqi commune; in December 1958, it was incorporated into Yaocheng commune of Tongchuan City.
In May 1961, Sigou commune was established, with 19 production teams under its jurisdiction.
In August 1961, it returned to Yaoxian County, with 21 production brigades under its jurisdiction.
In April 1983, Sigou township was established.
