History of construction
As early as about 10000 years ago, there were activities of ancestors in Huaxu town. There is "Huaxu mausoleum" on the west side of Huaxu town. According to ancient history, Fuxi and Nuwa were born to Huaxu, and their brother and sister married each other. Huaxu was a representative of the clan in the early Neolithic Age (10000 years ago), which lasted for a long time until before Yangshao culture (about 6500 or 6000 years ago). According to Tongzhi of Shaanxi Province, "the three emperors' temple on the top of Lishan Mountain (now renzongmiao) worships Huaxu, Fuxi and Nuwa. Gaifuxi's and Nuwa's were all born by Huaxu's, so they were worshipped in their hometown. " Because Huaxu propagated Fuxi, Nuwa and other tribes, the ancestors of the Han nationality were called Zhonghua or Huaxia in the spring and Autumn period.
From August 2009 to June 2010, Shaanxi Provincial Institute of archaeology conducted a large-scale archaeological excavation of Xinjie site in Huaxu Town, and learned that the cultural connotation of the site is mainly the late Yangshao culture and the late Longshan culture. In addition to various relics, nearly 50 pieces of jade, mainly hairpins, hairpins, hairpins, etc., were also found. The discovery of these jades provided material materials for the study of Lantian jade, one of the "four famous jades", and advanced the age of Lantian jade.
From the sixth year of Qin Xiangong (379 BC) to the second year of Jiande (573 BC) of the Northern Zhou Dynasty, it was the government of Lantian County.
In the 18th year of Qin Xiangong (367 BC), Qin Xiangong granted his son the title of King Lantian. According to the records of Chang'an annals and other ancient books of Song Dynasty, the ancient city of Lantian and the tomb of Jingke are located 30 Li to the west of the county. Now Jingke's tomb is in the town primary school, so it is speculated that gulantian county is in the west of the town. At the same time, it also coincides with the record of "fifteen Li south of Zhiyang city" in Lantian County annals.
At the end of Qing Dynasty, Youfang street was named because of the establishment of Youfang street.
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Huaxu town was established.
After the founding of the people's Republic of China, Huaxu district was set up in Hanjiaya village.
In May 1954, Huaxu district was divided into xiehu district.
In 1958, Huaxu commune was established and stationed in Youfang street.
In 1966, it was renamed Hongwei commune.
In 1977, the original name was restored.
In August 1996, the township was withdrawn to build Huaxu town.
