Duqu Street
Duqu street, belonging to Chang'an District, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the southeast of Chang'an District and the middle of Fanchuan. It is adjacent to Taiyi street in the East, Wangmang street in the south, Weiqu street in the West and Dazhao street in the north, with a total area of 41 square kilometers.
As of June 2020, Duqu street has 15 villages (residences), including 1 community and 14 administrative villages. In 2011, Duqu street had a total population of 41054, with a total agricultural output value of 180 million yuan, a total industrial output value of 190 million yuan, and a total social commodity sales value of 160 million yuan.
Historical evolution
The origin of place names
In the first year of Yuankang of Han Dynasty (65 BC), Prime Minister Du Chun was ordered to move to the riverside in Shanglinyuan. At that time, the Du family was popular in March. On Shangsi day, they held a grand meeting and played songs around the water. They often held entertainment activities such as drinking water and so on, so they got the name of Du Qu.
History of construction
It was duyangli in Ming Dynasty, and Duqu town was set up.
Du qucang was set up in Qing Dynasty.
The Republic of China was divided into duqucang, township, town and district.
In 1949, Duqu township was established.
It was changed into Duqu commune in 1958.
In 1961, it was changed into four communes: Duqu, Wangmang, taiyiguan and Fancun.
