Guodu Street
Guodu street, belonging to Chang'an District, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the southwest of Xi'an city and the middle of Chang'an District. It is adjacent to Weiqu street in the East, Huangliang street in the southeast, Xinglong Street in the south, Xiliu street in the West and Zhangba street in Yanta District in the north, with a total area of 57.5 square kilometers.
Guodu town is an important ancient town of Chang'an with profound historical and cultural heritage. In the south, there is Xiangji temple, the pure land of Buddhism. In the north, there are the root of Chinese characters, Cangjie's writing platform and Chang'an city of Sui and Tang Dynasties. In the East, there are Du Mausoleum of Xuandi of Han Dynasty and the hereditary place of Wei Du family of Tang Dynasty.

Historical evolution
The origin of place names
In the Ming Dynasty, the town was set up near gudujing, so it was named guduzhen. Later, guoduzhen was changed to guoduzhen because of the residence of Guo and Du people.
History of construction
Guoduli was established in Yuan and Ming Dynasties.
In the Qing Dynasty, Guodu village was established and Guodu town was established.
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), there were Guodu village, District, town, Lianbao village and township.
In May 1949, Guodu district was set up, with Xiangji temple, wenguobao, Zhoujiazhuang and Guodu under its jurisdiction.
In September 1958, Guodu commune was established.
In April 1961, Guodu commune was divided into Guodu commune, Zhucun commune and Ganhe commune.
In 1966, it was changed into Weidong commune.
In 1972, the original name was restored.
In May 1984, it was changed to Guodu town.
In January 2002, Zhucun township was merged into Guodu town.
