Zhongyu Township
Zhongyu township is governed by Jiali county. It is located in the easternmost part of the county, adjacent to aza town and Jiali town in the west, Bianba County in the north, Bomi County in the East and gongbujiangda County in the south. The resident population is 2055 (2017). It has jurisdiction over 14 administrative villages. The township government and the township party committee are stationed in Zhongyu village.
Historical evolution
NYI district was established in 1959, and Heihe county (Naqu County) was transferred to Jiali County in 1964. In 1970, it was changed into a commune, in 1981 it was changed into a district, and in 1988 it was withdrawn and merged into a township. In 1996, with a population of about 17000, it has jurisdiction over 14 administrative villages including dongmai, qiayu, Zhongyu, Toba, mengchanggechang, zhaxigang, Daguo, gangkouka, Chong, bengda, Shawang, baidui, Zibu and Rongqin. In 2000, there were 1817 permanent residents (in the fifth census).

Introduction to Zhongyu Township
Jiali County governs the township. Jianniyi district was established in 1959. In 1964, it was transferred from Naqu County to Jiali county. In 1970, it was changed into commune. In 1981, it was changed into district. In 1988, it was changed into township. Located in the east of the county, 118 kilometers away from the county. Population 2055 (2017). It has jurisdiction over 14 village committees, including dongmai, qiayu, Zhongyu, Toba, mengchanggechang, zhaxigang, Daguo, gangkouka, Chong, bengda, Shawang, baidui, Zibu and Rongqin. It mainly produces wheat, highland barley, soybean, apple, walnut and other fruit forests. There are primeval forests in the countryside.
