Duina Township

Yadong County, Xigaze City, Tibet Autonomous Region of the people's Republic of China governs the township, which is a semi agricultural and semi pastoral township. It is the main beef and mutton producing area in Yadong county.

Located in the northeast of Yadong County, Tibet Autonomous Region, 80 kilometers away from Yadong county.

Dunna district was built in 1960 and changed to dunna Township in 1988.

Highland barley and green fodder are mainly cultivated in agriculture, and sheep, goat, yak and cattle are mainly cultivated in animal husbandry. in 2017, "ximala 22" highland barley was planted in Duina township.

Environmental and ecological protection

In the first half of 2018, Duina Township carried out "five elimination" afforestation activities, with a total of 1400 elm trees planted (200 from the township government, 1000 from Duoqing village, 100 from qudui village and 100 from schools).

History and culture

Qumeixiong Valley anti British monument, located in Yadong County Duina Township guru village about 2 km south. In 1904, after the British invasion of Yadong, they met with Tibetan soldiers and civilians in the Xionggu of Qumei. However, due to the deception of the British troops, they used negotiations as bait to induce the Tibetan soldiers and civilians to lay down their arms, and then surrounded the fortress and fired with long guns. Many Tibetan soldiers and civilians were killed and injured on the spot. "This historical event is called the Qumei Xionggu Massacre by later generations.". In 2004, in order to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the anti British struggle, the Tibet Autonomous Region government built the "Qumei Xionggu anti British monument".
