NUMA Township
NUMA township is located in the southeast of Nanmulin County, Xigaze City, Tibet Autonomous Region, close to the North Bank of Yajiang river
Two main rivers flow through the township. It borders Dazi, suojin, tubujia Township and Renbu county. The township government is located in NUMA village, 96 kilometers away from the county seat. The government building covers an area of 340 square meters, and the township area is 217.58 square kilometers, with a population of 3862 (2017). "NUMA" means "western" in Tibetan.

In 1960, it was under the jurisdiction of Wuyu district. In 1988, it was changed into a separate Township, which was composed of NuMA Township and zhaxigang Township in Wuyu district. In 2000, NUMA Township had eight village committees, including NUMA, RERA, Tazhong, zaxiong, tongga, PUA, gacang and Niugu.

The average altitude of NuMA township is about 3700 meters, with warm and humid climate, sufficient sunshine and abundant rainfall, which is suitable for the growth of highland barley, winter wheat, pea, rape and other crops. In 2000, the total output of grain and oil in NUMA township was 2940690 Jin, the total income of rural economy was 4324373 yuan, the number of livestock in stock was 13860, and the per capita net income was 1042.07 yuan. In 1995, there were 125000 mu of grassland in NUMA Township, including 83000 mu of usable grassland, 19500 mu of irrigated grassland and 1000 mu of net fenced grassland. In 1988, tongga canal and Tongbu canal were completed in NUMA township. The main trunk of tongga canal is 50 million meters long, the total length of two branch canals is 2480 meters, and the irrigation area is 2963 mu; the irrigation area of Tongbu canal is 1320 mu. Water conservancy, canals and other infrastructure basically meet the needs of irrigation. In 2000, there was a township primary school in NUMA Township, which was equipped with township health facilities, such as TV receiving station and film team.
