Banlun township is located in the southeast of Funing County, Wenshan Prefecture, Yunnan Province. The township government is 20km away from the county seat, 28km away from Napo County seat, Guangxi District, bordering langheng and Lida towns in the West and Xinhua Town in the north. It is an important gateway from Yunnan to coastal areas. The township governs 11 villager committees and 146 villager groups, inhabiting five ethnic groups of Zhuang, Han, Miao, Yao and Yi, with a permanent resident population of 26541 (2017). The administrative area of the township is 320 square kilometers. The highest altitude is 1558m and the lowest is 445M. The annual average temperature is 19 ℃ and the frost free days are 327 days.
Traffic environment
Banlun township is located in the southeast of Funing County, adjacent to Chengxiang Town, baidu town and Guichao town of Napo County in Guangxi in the East, Tianpeng town in the south, lianlida town in the west, Xinhua Town in the north. National Highway 323, Guangzhou Kunming expressway, provincial highway Gaona line, Yunnan Guangxi Railway under construction and Funa Expressway pass through it. It is one of the main passageways from Yunnan to coastal areas.

mineral resources
banlun township is rich in mineral resources, including gold ore, iron ore, manganese ore, titanium ore, etc., with large reserves. According to the analysis of geological data, iron and titanium ore have the largest reserves. The iron ore reserves are more than 5 million tons, and there are two iron concentrators. Gold ore is mainly distributed in Mudu, nongwai and Longyang village committees; iron ore is mainly distributed in Pingna, nongwai and nonglou village committees; titanium ore is mainly distributed in mula and Longyang village committees. The mining companies introduced by banlun Township include Xinyuan company, Tianbao company, etc. At the same time, banlun township has taken effective measures to strengthen environmental governance and crack down on indiscriminate mining, protect ecological resources, and create a good investment environment to welcome investors from all sides to develop mineral resources in our township.
Forest resources
The forest coverage rate of the township is 28.6%, including 34751 mu of Cunninghamia lanceolata, 23150 mu of pine forest, 16000 mu of star anise, 25459 mu of tung oil tree, 300 mu of tea, 3000 mu of fruit in hot area and 41926 mu of natural forest. There are still a large number of barren mountains to be developed.

First, pay close attention to spring ploughing production, promote agricultural efficiency and increase farmers' income. In view of the fact that the weather is dry since the spring of 2009, the leaders of the township party committee and government attach great importance to the production of spring ploughing, take effective measures to strengthen the organization and leadership of the production of spring ploughing, strengthen the supervision of the agricultural means market, take the opportunity of learning the scientific outlook on development, pay close attention to scientific and technological training, actively transfer the agricultural means of spring ploughing, and effectively grasp the current work of spring ploughing. By April 2009, 15500 mu of ploughed farmland had been ploughed, 98 tons of chemical fertilizer, 36 tons of pesticide, 8 tons of agricultural film, 8200 kg of hybrid rice seed and 9720 kg of hybrid corn seed had been reserved, and 10700 mu of spring sowing area had been completed, which laid a good foundation for promoting agricultural efficiency and increasing farmers' income. As of April 2009, 19 project villages in the township have been fully started, with a total of 300 tons of cement distributed, 100000 people invested in labor, 7550 cubic meters of sand and materials prepared, 21 kilometers of road hardening, 380 biogas digesters, 48 toilets changed. Aiming at the task of planting 20000 mu of sugarcane in 2009, banlun Township timely dispatched 56 cadres from government organs, stations and village committees to each village committee, held mass mobilization meetings for many times, carried out scientific and technological training, earnestly guided the masses to plant sugarcane, and effectively led the masses to develop and become rich. As of April 2009, the township has implemented 19800 mu of sugarcane planting plots, sent more than 156 times of science and technology to the field, issued more than 10000 copies of publicity materials, and issued more than 800000 yuan of sugarcane credit. By the end of 2007, there were 23663 people in the township participating in the rural cooperative medical system, with the participation rate of 95.1%. The medical treatment of villagers mainly depends on village clinics and township clinics.
