Zhongke town
Zhongke Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Ximeng County, Pu'er City, Yunnan Province, has five administrative villages: Zhongke village, Banqing village, Wolong village, Banqing village and yongbuluo village. It is the hometown of the wa hero lameng.
The administrative area is 210.06 square kilometers, with 11312 permanent residents (2017).
Historical evolution
In 2013, Ximeng County completed the removal of Zhongke Township from township to town, and Zhongke township was renamed Zhongke town.

Zhongke town is a typical agricultural town, which belongs to poor town. grain crops are mainly rice, corn, buckwheat and beans; economic crops are mainly rubber and sugarcane; livestock and poultry are mainly cattle, pigs, sheep, chickens and ducks. In 2007, the planting area of sugarcane was 6612.8 mu, including 12553 mu of rubber and 1442 mu of tea. In 2009, the total rural economic income of the township was 21.6431 million yuan, the per capita grain ration was 442 kg, and the per capita net income was 1423 yuan.
Infrastructure construction
By May 2010, through striving for 22.706 million yuan of poverty alleviation project funds in recent years, the following major projects have been completed: 1. 22 drinking water projects for human and livestock have solved the drinking water problems of 4358 people in 650 households. The number of people with difficulty in drinking water for human and livestock decreased from 7300 in 2002 to 2043. 2. 2804 households have been renovated and 5 groups have been merged and settled (relocated in other places). 3. The second phase reconstruction and expansion project of county and township highway and the laying of marble pavement, with a total length of 12.8 km; the reconstruction and expansion project of yongbuluocun highway, with a total length of 20 km; the highway from Wolong village to Gulou village to laslongliangzi in Xinchang Township, with a total length of 56 km; and the highway of three village groups, with a total length of 5 km. 4. The rural power grid reconstruction project has solved the problem of electrified lighting for 2292 households and 8388 people in 5 villages.

From 2006 to 2007, there are 1128 students in the township. in December 2007, there were 5 schools (primary schools) in the township, including 1 Township Primary School and 4 village schools, with a total of 37 classes and 1119 students. Lamon
Lameng is a hero of Wa people. He was born in Banqing village, Zhongke township. In 1950, La Meng, the head of the Wa nationality, went to Beijing to attend the National Day ceremony and was received by Chairman Mao. After returning to Ximeng area, lameng widely publicized the party's policies, the necessity of national unity, and actively reformed the superstition and old customs of Wa people at that time. In 1951, lameng, on behalf of the Wa people, went to the red square of Ning'er to set up a national unity oath with Party members and representatives of 26 ethnic groups according to the Wa People's ceremony of drinking water and darting cattle, expressing the Wa People's will to unite with all ethnic groups as one family and follow the Communist Party forever.
