Yanshi town
Yanshi town is subordinate to Longyan City, Fujian Province. It is located in the northeast of Xinluo District, adjacent to suban in the East, Jiangshan in the west, Tieshan town and Yanshan Township in the south, Baisha Town in the north, Arch Bridge Township in Zhangping City in the southeast, and Wan'an town in the Northwest. It is 23 kilometers away from Longyan city.
In 2017, the administrative area was 30988 hectares, with a permanent population of 24582.
In 2010, Yanshi town has 33 administrative villages and 204 villager groups. There are Longqiao cave, Tiangong mountain, liantai mountain and other tourism resources. Yanshi town has successively won the honorary titles of "top 100 towns in Fujian Province", "demonstration town of home cleaning action in Fujian Province", "advanced collective of flood fighting and disaster relief" in Fujian Province, and "advanced collective of flood fighting and disaster relief" in Longyan city.
History of construction
From the end of the Qing Dynasty to the 18th year of the Republic of China (1929), the "agrarian revolution" broke out. The Red Army established the district and township Soviet governments in Xialao and Yanshi, and then abolished the social security system. Longyan county has six lanes and eighteen communities.
In the winter of 1932, the 19th Route Army stationed in Yanshi and set up autonomous committees of districts and townships.
In 1934, Chiang Kai Shek's army entered the rock, and Yanshi set up a district office, under which there were joint guarantors, who were in charge of Bao and Jia, and established the Bao and Jia system;
In 1936, Yandong District Office was established;
In late September 1949, Yandong working group under the leadership of Longyan County Committee of the Communist Party of China took over Xiahe and Yanxiang Township offices. After that, the eighth district (Yanshan District) and the ninth district (Yanxia District) of Longyan county were established. The people's democratic government of the district was established in Qinyuan and Yanshi.
In February 1950, it was adjusted to the Tenth District.
On October 1, 1950, the District People's government was changed to Yanshan and Yanxia district offices.
In the winter of 1951, Yanshan district was abolished, Yanshan district was merged into Yanxia District, and Baiyan district was merged into Fucheng District.
In December 1955, Yanxia district was renamed Yanshi district.
In the first half of 1957, districts were withdrawn and townships merged. The county's original district jurisdiction of 72 small townships, merged into 25 large townships. Yanshi, Xialao and Yanshan are townships.
It was renamed Yanshi District in 1953.
In May 1956, Henan town was abolished and 8 townships were set up, including Yanshi and Suji.
In 1958, Yanshi and xialaoer communes were established. The next year, Xialao and Yanshan communes were merged into Yanshi commune, and Yanshi management area was set up.
In July 1984, Yanshi town was established.

From June 1929 to January 1931, and from April 10 to October 20, 1932, the Soviet government administered Xialao, chenkeng, Huangtian, Shangqian and Yunping townships.
From August 1929 to January the following year, the Soviet government administered Henan, Hebei, Changlun and other townships.

In 1944, it was under the jurisdiction of 13 Baohe and 8 Baohe in Yanshi town.
In 1953, Yanshi district had jurisdiction over Henan town, Beixin, HuangChen, Shangqian, Sibei, Daji, Xialao and supang.
In June 1957, Yanshi township was set up, including Henan, Beixin, supang, Chencun, Panci, Baishiyu, genzhuyuan and Daji villages.

Yanshi Town, located in the northeast of Xinluo District, Longyan City, is the geometric center of Xinluo District and the central town of Dongfang district. Geology and geomorphology
The northwest of Yanshi town has high mountains, with an average altitude of 810 meters; the terrain along Yanshi river is flat, with an average altitude of 380 meters. Mountains crisscross the town and hills rise and fall. The whole terrain is long from north to South and wide from east to west; high in the south, West and north; slightly low in the middle and East. Along the river, most of them are small valley basins. The landform is complex, including high mountain, middle mountain, low mountain, hill, valley basin and mountain, Hill basin Valley and other landform types. The geological structure is the Cathaysian system and the East-West structure.
The main geological structure is Yanshi - Subang syncline. The core of the syncline is mainly Shaxian formation of Cretaceous system, and the Permian system to Devonian Cambrian system is successively exposed on both wings. The Tongziyan Formation is widely distributed in coal bearing strata, forming the nne-ne faults in supang, Banwei, fengshanqi, xiaolingding, Chencun and Beishan coal mining area I, which are mainly distributed in Pinglin Baisha, Qiudi Siji, Qinyuan Beishan xiaojingjian belts; the NW faults are mainly distributed in Beishan Xialao and Chencun cangtouping belts.

The next frost period begins in early December and ends in mid February, lasting about 73 days. The frost free period is about 292 days, and the extreme minimum temperature is - 6.8 ℃.
