Taiping Xincheng Street
Taiping New Town Street is located in the northeast of the city. It covers an area of 85 square kilometers. The permanent resident population is 24823 (the sixth census in 2010). It has jurisdiction over three communities and three administrative villages. The office is located in Taiping, 12 kilometers away from the city. 320 National Road, Chengdu Kunming railway transit.

Evolution of organizational system

After the founding of the people's Republic of China, people's governments of Shidian, Xiangshi, Taiping and Guangliang were established. In 1958, it was divided into Taiping, Guangliang and Xiangshi administrative areas, belonging to Liaoyuan commune. Taiping commune was established in May 1961. In May 1964, Taiping commune had five brigades and 34 production brigades, namely, shutoupu, Qiaotou, Shidian, TOUMU and ce'e. In 1984, it was renamed Taiping District. It has jurisdiction over Qiaotou, tudupu, tumu, ce'e and Shidian (Bai nationality township). In 1988, Qiaotou district was set up as a township, with jurisdiction over 5 offices, 32 village committees and 36 natural villages, including Qiaotou, dushupu, Shidian, tumu and ce'e.
In 1996, Taiping Bai Township covers an area of 85 square kilometers and has a population of 19000. It governs five administrative villages, namely Qiaotou, dushupu, Shidian, tumu and ce'e. In 2000, the Bai nationality township in Taiping was set up as a town. In 2003, Taiping Town covers an area of 85 square kilometers. It has a population of 17150, including 7923 non-agricultural people and 4891 ethnic minority people. It has five village committees, one neighborhood committee and 32 villager groups. In 2006, it covers an area of 85 square kilometers and has a population of 17200. It has jurisdiction over one community of Taiping and five administrative villages of Qiaotou, dushupu, Shidian, TOUMU and ce'e. the town government is stationed in Taiping. In April 2011, Taiping town was abolished and Taiping Xincheng street was set up, with jurisdiction over three administrative villages, namely, shutupu, tumu and ce'e, and three communities, namely Qiaotou, Shidian and Taiping.
