Goujie town

Goujie market town is 73 kilometers away from Kunming, the provincial capital, and 17 kilometers away from Yiliang County. It is adjacent to Banqiao Town of Shilin County in the East, Chengjiang County across Nanpanjiang River in the southwest, Nanyang town in the west, Zhushan Township in the south, and Kuangyuan town in the north. The dog street, where the town government is located, used to be divided into two sub districts in the past, which was named dog street.

Evolution of organizational system

Goujie, the residence of Goujie town government, used to be the period of two branches, which belonged to Gouxiang, so it was named. Before 1949, Yulong, tiechi and Lianchi were established. In 1950, it was divided into two districts. In 1956, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged into Fuhu, Goujie and Lianhua. In 1958, three townships and Zhushan built red flag commune together. In 1959, it was separated from Zhushan commune and still known as Hongqi commune. in 1961, it was changed into a dog block, with jurisdiction over the three communes of red flag, dog street and Lianhua. In 1969, it was changed into a commune. In 1983, the commune was changed into a district, with 21 townships, 117 villages and 116 agricultural cooperatives under its jurisdiction. in December 1987, it was changed into Goujie Town, with jurisdiction over 21 offices and 112 natural villages. in 2001, due to the construction of Chaishitan Reservoir in Kunming, the two natural villages of Xiaoshao Village Association, xiaogouheidi and Xiaotuanshan, were assigned to Shilin County.
