Dajia township is located in the northwest of Liping County, 72 kilometers away from the county. It is adjacent to Luoli Township in the East, mengyan town in the south, Shangzhong town in the West and Guben township of Jinping County in the north. The township governs 17 administrative villages, 1 neighborhood committee, 131 villager groups, 3683 households, 15606 people, including 15083 agricultural population, living in Dong, Miao, Hu, Han and other ethnic groups.

Location context
Dajia township is located in the northwest of Liping County, 72 km (30 km) away from the county seat. Historical evolution
Dajia, because of the confluence of the two streams, formed three branches of water. It was called "Majia" in Dong language. It was renamed Dajia in the thirtieth year of the Republic of China. The natural ecology is unique, the national culture is well preserved, the ancient trees in the village are towering, there are villages in the forest, there are forests in the village, the mountains and rivers are beautiful, the climate is pleasant, and it is a harmonious and compatible place between man and nature. The buildings, costumes and ethnic customs of dengmeng village keep the characteristics of the Miao nationality. The houses are stilted buildings with standard and reasonable layout. The buildings are surrounded by ancient trees and trees outside the village, and the bamboo trees are luxuriant inside the village. The houses are like natural green barriers between the houses. From a distance, you can see only a green shade. National costumes keep the unique style of Ming Dynasty. The village gate has the village rules and unique policies of the Qing Dynasty. The villagers are hardworking, honest and hospitable. There is also a unique festival of the Miao people, the guzang Festival. During the festival, all the villagers gather together to worship their ancestors, sing and dance. Gaoma village is located in the northwest of the township, 4 kilometers away from the township, next to Lishang highway. When you enter jiaoxikou of gaomazhai, you can see the rhinoceros trough. Gaojia village is also the hometown of Gulan Pipa songs of Dong nationality. 120 years ago, Yang Gulan, a folk song master of Dong nationality, created a large number of Dong songs in groups and studied Pipa accompaniment, creating the precedent of beidong Pipa songs. The melody is graceful and pleasant. It is widely spread in beidong area of Lirong county and is still singing for a long time.
