Wuchuan Township
Wuchuan township is located in the northwest of Baiyin District, Baiyin City, Gansu Province. It borders Liuchuan township of Jingyuan County in the East, Wangxian Township in the south, heishichuan township of Gaolan County in the West and Zhongquan township of Jingtai County in the north, with a total administrative area of 460.16 square kilometers.
In 1757, Huoshaogou in the northern part of the Qing Dynasty belonged to the former hongshuishui county (now Jingtai County); in 1983, it was restored to Wuchuan township; in August 1985, it belonged to Baiyin District of Baiyin City. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in Wuchuan was 10362. In June 2020, rural Wuchuan governs one community and seven administrative villages.
The main food crops in Wuchuan are wheat and corn, and the main animal husbandry is raising pigs, sheep and poultry. In 2018, Wuchuan township has 9 industrial enterprises and 3 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
In 1757, the Huoshaogou area in the northern part of the Qing Dynasty belonged to the former hongshuishui county (now Jingtai County).
In 1913, Hongshui county was upgraded to Hongshui county.
In 1933, Hongshui county was merged into Jingtai County.
In 1938, it was located in Beishan Township, Gaolan County, with Hongxian and Yaqu.
In October 1949, it belonged to Shidong District of Gaolan County; in December of the same year, it belonged to Beishan District of Gaolan county.
In 1953, there were three townships: wujiachuan, Yaqu and Xitan.
In April 1958, wujiachuan, Hongxian, Yaqu and Xitan townships merged to form wujiachuan township; in September of the same year, wujiachuan commune, also known as satellite commune, was established.
In January 1959, it was renamed Wuchuan commune, directly under Baiyin City.
In November 1961, it belongs to the suburb of Baiyin City.
In August 1963, it belongs to Gaolan County, Dingxi District.
In April 1970, it belongs to Gaolan County of Lanzhou city.
In 1983, it was restored to Wuchuan township.
In August 1985, it belongs to Baiyin District of Baiyin City.

In June 2020, Wuchuan countryside governs one community and seven administrative villages: Wuchuan new village community, Wuchuan village, Hongxian village, Dushan village, Yaqu village, Zhongshan village, Songliang village and Xin'an village, and the Township People's government is stationed in Yaqu village.

The terrain of Wuchuan Township gradually increases from south to north, and then decreases to gaojiazhuang; the East-West Qilian Mountains form a fish ridge. The highest point is at datuliang of Xin'an village, with an altitude of 2273 meters; the lowest point is at Hongxian Zhuangzi under Hongxian village, with an altitude of 1640 meters.
