Shuangping Yi and Miao Township, belonging to Hezhang County, Bijie City, Guizhou Province, is located in the southwest of Hezhang County, adjacent to Luozhou town in the East, Magu town in the south, Yancang town in Weining Yi and Hui Autonomous County in the southwest, blacksmith Miao Township in the west, Fuchu Yi and Miao Township in the west, Keke Yi and Miao Township in the north, Zhuming town in the northeast, with an administrative area of 192.8 square kilometers.
In 1737, Weining guerrilla right Camp was set up in xiongsuo (Gaoming Village); in 1991, Shuangping Yi and Miao township was built by merging Shuangping, Huishui, fenggou and FaDu. By the end of 2018, the registered residence of the Yi and Miao people in Shuang Ping was 46039. As of June 2020, Shuangping Yi and Miao township has jurisdiction over 5 communities and 21 administrative villages, and the Township People's government is stationed in Shuangping group of Shuangping village.

History of construction
In the second year of Qianlong (1737), Weining guerrilla right Camp was set up to guard xiongsuo (Gaoming Village).
In 1941, Hezhang was the fifth protector of Huishui township.
In 1953, jianzhongping township was subordinate to Keke district.
In 1955, it was divided into Magu district.
In 1958, it was changed into Zhongping people's commune.
In 1959, it was changed into a management area.
In 1963, the commune was restored.
In 1982, it was changed into Shuangping people's commune.
In 1984, Shuangping Yi nationality township was built.
In 1991, it merged with Huishui Township, FaDu Township and fenggou township to build Yi and Miao townships.
