Houzhai Miao Township, belonging to Zhijin County, Bijie City, Guizhou Province, is located in the west of Zhijin County, adjacent to Chengguan town in the East, zhuzang town in the southeast, Shaopu town in the south, Santang town in the West and northwest, Shuidong town in Nayong County in the north, and Zhongzhai town in the north and northeast, with an administrative area of 110.1 square kilometers.
In the Ming Dynasty, it belonged to duzexi; in January 1992, it was changed to Houzhai Miao township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence of the Miao village was 30116. As of June 2020, Houzhai Miao township has jurisdiction over one community and 12 administrative villages, and the Township People's government is stationed in Huashu community.
