It is adjacent to Longchang town in the East and Southeast, Huaqi town in the south, Nayong Township in the west, Shajing Miao Yi Gelao Township and Jinlan town in Qianxi County across Liuchong River in the north, with an administrative area of 55.1 square kilometers.
In the Ming Dynasty, it belonged to longkuazexi; in January 1992, it was withdrawn from the district and merged into a township, which was merged into Daping Miao and Yi Township from Daping, Wuli and qingjiao.
