In the Yuan Dynasty, it was under the jurisdiction of douni officer of yixibuxuedaluhachi; in 1992, andI district was changed into andI town. By the end of 2018, the population of Andi town registered residence was 31595. As of June 2020, andI town has jurisdiction over one community and seven administrative villages, and the town people's government is located in Xin'an community.
