Name and origin
It got its name from Wulipo. Wulipo is the place where the Buyi and Miao girls sing duet songs and jump on the slope. Every year, on the first and fifteenth day of the first lunar month, the Buyi and Miao people, who are tens of miles around, have a love affair through duet songs and jump on the slope, which has become a national traditional festival.
