Niuchang Buyi Township, belonging to Baiyun District, Guiyang City, Guizhou Province, is located in the northeast of Baiyun District, with Shuitian town of Wudang District in the East, dulabuyi Township in the south, shawen town in the West and zazuo town of Xiuwen County in the north. It is 18 kilometers away from Baiyun District government. The total area is 67.49 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Buyi Township in the cattle farm was 14659.
In January 1984, when SASE established the township, the former shawen commune was divided into shawen Township and NIUCHANG township; in August 1984, NIUCHANG township was changed into Niuchang Buyi township. As of June 2020, Niuchang Buyi rural area has 13 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the people's government is located in Niuchang street.

History of construction
In Qing Dynasty, most of the territory belonged to shuibianli and beishangli of Guizhu County, and a small part belonged to dongxiali of Guizhu county.
From 1914 to June 1941, the four townships of Wenhua, Penglai, Huangguan and Hongjin, which were set up in the present Niuchang Township, belonged to the eighth District of Guiyang County (the former North First District); Daling Township, which was set up in the present Niuchang Township, belonged to the Second District of Guiyang County (the former East First District).
In 1931, Niuchang was the residence of Wenhua Township, the eighth District of Guiyang County. It had jurisdiction over Niuchang, Yunyan village, Dashan, datu, Daba, Dapo and other natural villages.
From July 1941 to November 1949, it belonged to shawen Township, Baiyun District, Guizhu county.
In 1952, two townships of Niuchang and Hongjin were built in Jinxiang, belonging to the Sixth District of Guizhu county (shawen District); jiandalin township was the eighth District of Guizhu county (also known as paddy field district).
In February 1958, the whole territory was assigned to Guiyang City, belonging to niaodang District of Guiyang city. At the same time, Dalin, boluoge, huoshaozhai, Shilong, anbantian, Xiaoshan, Dashan and Jianshan natural villages under the jurisdiction of Dalin Township were divided into shawen district by paddy field district; in September of the same year, Dalin, Niuchang, Hongjin and other senior communes were merged into Tuanjie commune; in December of the same year, they were merged into shawen commune with Yuemei and Yuejin communes, and three management areas of Niuchang, Hongjin and Dalin were built in the township.
In December 1959, after the establishment of Baiyun town (still known as Baiyun District) under the jurisdiction of Guiyang City, it was changed to Baiyun District.
In May 1960, after the establishment of Baiyun (city) commune, it belonged to shawen commune in Baiyun District.
In June 1961, it was set up from shawen commune.
In July 1962, it was incorporated into shawen commune, belonging to Wudang district.
In June 1973, it was restored to Baiyun District.
In January 1984, Shashe established the township, and the former shawen commune was divided into shawen Township and NIUCHANG township.
In August 1984, NIUCHANG township was changed into Niuchang Buyi township.
