Shuitian Town, belonging to Wudang District, Guiyang City, Guizhou Province, is located in the middle of Wudang District, adjacent to Xiaba Township in the East, Dongfeng Town and Sanjiang farm in the south, shawen town and dulabuyi Township in Baiyun District in the west, Xinchang Township and Xinbao Buyi Township in the north. The town government is located at 323 Shuitian street, 13 kilometers away from the district government, with a total area of 106.01 square kilometers. As of 2018, the total population of Shuitian town is 18047. As of October 2019, Shuitian town has jurisdiction over 1 community and 11 administrative villages.
After 1949, the reformed districts and townships abolished the insurance system and set up administrative villages, which belong to Shuitian Township, Lizi Township, Sanjiang Township and dingba Township, the eighth District of Guizhu county. At the end of 1958, the township was abandoned and the atomic commune was set up. In 1959, the atomic commune was merged into Luowan commune. In 1961, saxiao Luowan commune was established as a paddy field commune in Sanjiang 2 management area. In 1983, communes were changed into townships, and paddy fields were changed into paddy fields. On December 12, 1988, Shuitian township was changed into Shuitian town.

At the end of 1958, the township was abandoned and the atomic commune was set up.
In 1959, atomic commune, Chengfeng commune, Dongfeng commune, Wenfeng commune and Weixing commune were merged into Luowan commune.

Sanjiang River originates from Yunwu Mountain and flows from west to East through yangliuchong, Sanjiang, Dahebian, Sanjiang farm and dingba village. It is located in Nanming River of dingba village. It is a perennial river with a total length of about 16 kilometers and an average width of 20 meters. Baiyan river originates from Yunwu Mountain, flows from northwest to southeast through Shuitian village, wengpeng village, Zhulin village, Fenghuang Mountain and Tiziyan, and converges into luanbu in Sancha River, with a total length of 16 kilometers. Chaoba river originates from qiankanqing reservoir, flows from southwest to northeast through shangshangzhai, jiancaozhai, Dongnong, and downstream is Duzhai river.
