Tiantan street, under the jurisdiction of Dongcheng District, Beijing, is located in the southwest of Dongcheng District, between 116 ° 23'31 "~ 116 ° 24'53" E and 39 ° 52'15 "~ 39 ° 53'30" n. It is adjacent to Ciqikou street, Tiantan East Road and gymnasium road in the East, the moat in the South and yongdingmenwai street in the south, Qianmen Street (south section), Tianqiao South Street and yongdingmennei street in the West and Tianqiao street in Xicheng District, and Zhushikou East Street in the north and Qianmen Street and Chongwenmenwai Street in the north. The maximum distance between East and West is 1885 meters, and the maximum distance between North and south is 2236 meters, with a total area of 4 square kilometers.
In 1947, the temple of heaven belonged to the 12th (waiwu) district. In 1954, there were five streets in the region, including lubanguan, dashixidian, jingzhongmiao, Tianqiao South Street and dongxiaoshi. In 1958, Tiantan street was merged and established.

In 1954, there were five streets in the temple of heaven: lubanguan, dashixidian, jingzhongmiao, Tianqiao South Street and dongxiaoshi.
In 1958, the five streets of lubanguan, dashixidian, jingzhongmiao, Tianqiao South Street and dongxiaoshi merged to form Tiantan street.

Tiantan Park is located in Tianqiao South Street of Tiantan street and the east side of yongdingmennei street, north of Yongdingmen East Street, south of Tiantan road and west side of Tiantan East Road. It is one of the key garden management temples at the municipal level. The temple of heaven was first built in 1420, the 18th year of Yongle in Ming Dynasty. The main building is the great Memorial Hall (the hall of praying for the new year), which is the temple of heaven and earth. Jiajing nine years (1530) in the northern suburbs of another built Fangze called the temple of earth, the temple of worship South built Yuanqiu called the temple of heaven. The temple of heaven has become the general name of the two altars. In 1534, Yuanqiu was changed into the temple of heaven by Emperor's imperial edict.
